Photos of the Dunes at Stovepipe Wells. These dunes are easily accessible from the highway, just a short walk and you are in them. Mountains surround the dunes on the south and north sides, with sweeping views east of the Panamint Mtns. The convenience store/gas station is within a mile or two, so you can quickly get refreshments after hiking in the dunes. It is very easy to get good photos here, lots of shifting landscapes to play with, as well as interesting shadows later in the day.
